Who We Are
We are the Hird family, a small family farm in the lakes region of New Hampshire. We produce wool fleeces, yarns, and roving from our flock of Romney, Romney-Horned Dorset cross, and Merino sheep.
Our Mission
Our mission can be captured in the word "tradition." We endeavor to preserve the New England homestead farm tradition, in the production of quality wool. We also strive to preserve and promote the fiber arts traditions of handspinning, natural dyeing, weaving, knitting, crochet, felting, etc, through on-site and local programs. In addition, we carry on the New England tradition of farm-to-community connectedness, through educational programs and hosting community events.
